These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ata.academyhq.io (the “Site”) and the courses, cohorts, and related services offered by Amaraé Telemedicine Academy (“ATA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) (together, the “Services”). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Services.

Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

1. Eligibility

The Services are intended for adults. By using the Site, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Your Account

You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at Ata@academyhq.io if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

3. Courses, Cohorts & Access

  • Courses are typically run as cohorts — a course opens for enrollment for a defined period, then closes to new purchases once that cohort’s window ends. Closing a cohort to new enrollment does not affect students who already purchased it; your access continues normally as described below.
  • Once you purchase a course, you’ll have access to it for the period stated on the course page at the time of purchase — typically between 6 months and 1 year, depending on the specific course. Your access period starts from your purchase/enrollment date, not from the cohort’s start date.
  • We may periodically run a new cohort of a course you’ve already completed or purchased, with updated or refreshed material. Purchasing a new cohort is a separate transaction and does not extend or restart the access period of a course you previously purchased.
  • We reserve the right to update, improve, or otherwise modify course content, and to retire courses, at our discretion. If we retire a course you’re actively enrolled in before your access period ends, we’ll provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, an alternative (e.g., a substitute course or partial refund per our Refund Policy).

4. Payments

  • All prices are shown on the Site and are subject to change; the price you pay is the price shown at checkout at the time of purchase.
  • Payments are processed securely through Paystack. By purchasing a course, you agree to Paystack’s applicable terms for payment processing.
  • You’re responsible for any taxes, fees, or currency-conversion charges associated with your purchase.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property & License to Use Content

All course materials — videos, lessons, quizzes, assignments, downloads, and any other content we provide (the “Course Content”) — are owned by ATA or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

When you purchase a course, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Course Content for your own personal educational use, for the duration of your access period. You may not:

  • Share your account or login credentials with anyone else.
  • Copy, download (outside of features we explicitly provide for offline use), reproduce, distribute, or publicly share Course Content.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make Course Content available to third parties.
  • Claim official affiliation with, endorsement by, or accreditation from ATA beyond what you’ve actually earned through the Services.

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates this section.

7. Certificates

Certificates of completion confirm that you completed a course’s requirements on our platform. They are for training and continuing-education purposes only — they do not constitute a professional license, accreditation, or authorization to practice, and do not, by themselves, satisfy any regulatory, licensing, or certification body’s requirements. It’s your responsibility to confirm how a certificate from ATA will or won’t be recognized by any employer, licensing board, or accrediting body relevant to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Services and Course Content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that course content is error-free, that access will be uninterrupted, or that completing a course will lead to any particular outcome (employment, certification, exam results, etc.).

Course content is provided for educational purposes and does not constitute medical advice. Nothing in our courses should be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment, licensed clinical practice, or direct patient care decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ATA and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the course(s) giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or for any other reason we consider necessary to protect the Services or other users, with or without notice. You may stop using the Services at any time; this does not entitle you to a refund except as described in our Refund Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
